Responsible for managing all areas of production in a business unit. Communicates, implements, and manages a plan of production by determining short and long term goals/projects for the department ensuring that business objectives are met as well as maintaining high levels of quality and safety. Oversees the development of staff such as Chief, Supervisor, Crew Leaders and Associates in order to achieve department and corporate goals.
Requires a four-year college degree in business and/or engineering combined with 5+ years of manufacturing experience in which 3+ years of those years were in supervision. Basic knowledge of cardiovascular systems. Detailed knowledge of the medical device functions and critical processes that affect the product. Strong statistical analysis techniques. Ability to direct and motivate staff. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards.
