Seeking a qualified manufacturing engineer with experience in aircraft production. The first task of this role will be to help establish the manufacturing process flow and documentation for building aircrafts in an effort to setup production operations of these vehicles. The engineer in this position will help define what production equipment, tools, systems, and materials will be required in order to create an efficient, organized, and lean factory. After production operations begin, the engineer will oversee much of the systems installation and integration operations of the vehicles and work on process improvement and production optimization using lean processes and tools.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline. Experience in aircraft systems integration including fuel, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic,
data acquisition, communications, power plant, and avionics and flight control systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools. Knowledge and experience with AS9100 is a plus. Hybrid rocket system knowledge is also a plus.
