This position is located in Southeast Michigan.
Basic Purpose & Objective:
This position is directly responsible for the creation, qualification, project management, and successful closure of new applications/business opportunities within assigned industry or accounts. It is also responsible for the overall customer relationship, including managing the customer’s expectation through our organization.
Education Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business with associated technical experience.
- Experience in industrial sales of 6+ years
- History of successful closure of high dollar and value based programs
- Ability to penetrate, expand, and develop new contacts within existing targeted customers
- Superior project management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines and overcoming customer obstacles
- Superior organizational and documenting skills
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills in word processing, excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint slide creations
- Knowledge of threaded joint technical characteristics
- Knowledge of metal working manufacturing processes, assembly work processes, and general machining practices (drilling, tapping, turning, etc.)
- Knowledge of inspection and measuring equipment techniques
