This position is located in Ohio.

Basic Function:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing the point contact at the customer location where he/she is assigned and will effectively be the escalation focus for problems and issues from the customer to the company.

Accountabilities:

  • Work with Technicians, Account Managers, Systems Engineers, Customer Engineers and Sales Managers to act as the customer's advocate when issues and problems need to be escalated.
  • Attend, and sometimes chair, the customer's on site meetings when customer's operation group reviews performance and issues with the customer's network.
  • Manage the customer's specific release processes throughout the entire development cycle of each specific product.
  • Coordinate and project manage upgrades and network migrations that involve company products at the customer's sites.
  • Work with the customer to migrate the customer's network to the company product.
  • Act as the Tier I level support engineer for the company.
  • Provide on-site engineering support for the assigned customer, collaborating in all program phases from initial concept to program end.
  • Assists in the definition of system requirements; maintains compliance with the customer's specifications.
  • Promote efforts to acquire additional business from the customer.
  • Meets frequently and chairs meetings between the company and the customer's engineers.
  • Fulfill co-located engineering responsibilities as designated in customer guidelines and ensure that the company complies with all customer requirements and expectations.
  • Communicates customer program timing requirements and completion of program milestones to management. Ensures that all program steps comply with established customer program processes.
  • Ensures the proper flow of engineering and customer information within and between the customer and the company.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation to meet the specifications of the customer and the company.
  • Will also identify and troubleshoot quality and manufacturing issues.
  • Must be proficient with engineering drawings, GD&T, plastics, stampings, APQP methods, and Microsoft Office.
  • Clear, concise and timely communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to remain organized and self Źdirected in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a capable team player and able to adapt to various project requirements.
  • Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree BSME and three years related experience.
  • Specific experience in an electronics-manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have the basic discipline specific to documentation and design approaches.
  • Must have the ability to direct and coordinate manufacture or building of prototype products and systems.
  • Must be able to determine component requirements appropriate to product.
  • Must be proficient with engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), plastics, stampings, and Advanced Production Quality Process (APQP) methods.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows based databases appropriate to the position and assignment.
