• Prepares concept, design, and detail drawings using 3D CAD and other engineering tools, laboratory equipment and engineering analysis software.
  • Prepares detailed lists of parts, detail drawings, and materials (bills of materials) required to complete the project.
  • Reviews and closely follows customer specifications and requirements for machines, tooling and automation during manufacture of machines, tooling and automation.
  • Continuously improves engineering processes.
  • Helps develop strategies and processes to ensure on-time delivery of equipment, cost reduction opportunities and performance improvements.
  • Good working knowledge of designing and specifying components for high-force machines and handling systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment, including machining processes, workflow, assembly processes, cycle time and quality and delivery expectations.

    College degree (BS-minimum or 2 year Associates with commensurate experience) in Engineering. Must have design experience on high-force equipment/heavy equipment. Must have 3 to 5 years experience with Machine Tool-type equipment. Must have excellent communication & leadership skills. Must have an extensive background with CAD, preferably Solid Works or similar 3D software. Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.
